How #Manageflitter can #help you to achieve #Twitter #greatness

How Manageflitter can help you to achieve Twitter greatness
I have shared quite a few Twitter tools on this site, I have spoken quite a bit about Tweepi, now Tweepi was great for a while but I thought I would look at ManageFlitter because I wanted to quickly unfollow non English speaking accounts, I knew I had used a program before that had this facility but could not remember which, anyway I saw that manageflitter had it so I thought I would give it a go. Now what i found was that Tweepi has a lot of sort features, but Manageflitter has some simple "presets" and the added ability to unfollow  80 or so people at a time rather than 20-40 on Tweepi. The other benefit of Manageflitter is the sort facility which lets you very quickly sort for example the time you followed a user, this is very useful say if you are looking at "all people I am following that are not following me back".  You want to give people a few days to follow you back so you do not want to follow someone then unfollow them if they do not follow you back in a few minutes. In my opinion the only true way to build a twitter following from scratch is through reciprocation among engaging with people, competitions etc.. anyway Manageflitter tells you exactly what number follower they were, so you look at how many people you are following and say, well… I have this many followers and I had this many the other day so that means i must have followed this person then..

A breakdown of the features of Manageflitter:

UNFOLLOW – FREE

  • Not Following Back
  • No Profile Image
  • Fake Following
  • Non-English
  • High Ratio
  • Inactive
  • Talkative
  • Quiet
  • Force fake followers to unfollow – Pro
  • Ninja Mode: Select multiple filters – Pro

Unlike some other Twitter management tools, Manageflitter keeps it simple, you either want to use it to fine-tune your results or you just want to simply unfollow or follow certain groups of people.

Options

FOLLOW – PRO (FROM $12 PER MONTH)

  • You don't follow back
  • Verified (People who are following you who are verified that you are not following back)
  • Popular (People who are following you that yo
  • Copy followers (Follow the people another Twitter account is following)
  • Copy following (Follow the people another Twitter account is following)
  • Follow by username

My favourite features of ManageFlitter:

POWERPOST

Built into the suite is Powerpost which lets you schedule tweets and it will even tell you when the best times to tweet them are, when people in a certain area are mostly online, when your top 100 followers are online and more!  I have to say this is one of my favourite tools on the site.

Schedule_post_Twitter

TWEET SEARCH – PRO

The Tweet search tool is an incredible way of getting laser targeted followers.  You can search by keyword, i.e. what people have tweeted and where you want to find people i.e. UK and even target as specific as a town or city.

Tweet_1

ManageFlitter is an indispensable tool, although you will not be able to follow without the pro version I would go as far as to say that the unfollow facilities on ManageFlitter are some of the best I have seen.  If I were to summarise I would say it lets you play it basic, it lets you play it mid-way and it lets you play it full-throttle! However you want to use it Manageflitter lets you easily switch between simple follow/unfollow to powerful filtering.

My only guidance for ManageFlitter and similar tools is be mindful of "churning" or "aggressive churning".

Remember ManageFlitter starts at free and the Pro version at $12 per month.  Go check it out:  Manage Flitter.

It is fair to say that ManageFlitter have some plans in the pipeline and their offering is only going to get better and better.

#HOWTO: Bulk #Unfollow #Twitter Accounts Using #ManageFlitter [#tutorial]

HOW TO: Bulk Unfollow Twitter Accounts Using ManageFlitter [tutorial]

Whether you've hit Twitter's "Follow Limits" (see image below) or just want to do a virtual scrubbing of your Twitter account, unfollowing people can be both a necessary and cleansing task.

twitter-unable

However, the last thing you want to do is manually unfollow people one by one. It would take hours. You have better things to do right? This tutorial will show you how to filter and unfollow multiple Twitter accounts all at the same time.

Requirements:

  • An active Twitter account
  • Internet connection
  • ~10-15 minutes

01) Select A Free Twitter Admin Tool

There are several services that can help you manage your Twitter account and unfollow people. One of our favorites is ManageFlitter because they will allow you to bulk unfollow 100 accounts per day for free. Go to http://manageflitter.com/unfollow

unfollow-manageflitter

02) Try It For Free

The Pro version (I’m using) of ManageFlitter is $12 per month. For the purposes of this tutorial, we won't be using the Pro version (but I recommend you to buy it). Just click on the 'free trial' button to continue.

03) Sign In

Use your Twitter account to sign in to ManageFlitter.

unfollow-connect

04) Unfollow Menu Item

Select the Unfollow option from the Manage menu and wait for the system to process all of the data associated with your account.

unfollow-loading

05) Review "Unfollow" Filters

You'll then be taken to a screen that has the ability to filter undesirable Twitter accounts the following ways:

  • Not Following Back – Shows you everyone who you follow who does not follow you in return.
  • No Profile Image – If someone never took the time to select a Twitter profile image then they probably aren't worth following.
  • Non English – If you only speak English, then you might want to unfollow any non-English accounts.
  • Inactive – People who haven't tweeted in the last 30 days.
  • Fake Following – The fake accounts or spambots that you are following.
  • Follow Ratio: High – Accounts that follow more people than follow them
  • Follow Ratio: Low – Accounts that follow less people than follow them
  • Talkative – Accounts that tweet over 5 times per day
  • Quiet – Accounts that tweet less than 1 time per day
  • Influence: High – Very influential accounts
  • Influence: Low – Very uninfluential accounts

After you are done reviewing the different option, then proceed to the next step.

06) Select "Fake Following"

unfollow-fake

How you filter and who you choose to unfollow on ManageFlitter is entirely up to you. However, we recommend that you start with "Fake Following" and remove the spambots that you are currently following on Twitter.

07) Turn On "Batch Select" Toggle

unfollow-batchBatch Select allows you to preform actions to multiple accounts at the same time. We will use it to unfollow a group of undesirable Twitter accounts all at once. This will save you the hassle of unfollowing each account one at a time.

Click on the toggle to turn on Batch Select.

08) Manually Select 100 Accounts

Remember, the free version of ManageFlitter only allows you to unfollow 100 people per day. Don't click on "Select All Accounts" button. It won't work unless you upgrade to the Pro version of ManageFlitter.

unfollow-select-anti

It's annoying, but you will have to individually select your free 100 accounts.Pick the accounts that you want to unfollow and then click on the "Unfollow XX Later" link under the Batch Select toggle.

unfollow-manually-process

09) Process Now

After you add all of the accounts that you want to unfollow to the Batch, then click on the Process Now link.

unfollow-process

The 100 accounts that you want to unfollow will now appear on a screen. Unfortunately Twitter now requires that accounts be unfollowed manually. So you will have to click 100 times. It will just take a minute or so. ManageFlitter has an option to do this for you but it's not free.

10) That's it!

You did it! You just trimmed some fat off of your Twitter account. Please share this tutorial and if you found ManageFlitter useful, then tweet @Boost4Social

New Data: Tweet Lots of Links to Get Followers

Posted: 13 Apr 2014 01:02 AM PDT

My effort to analytically study the unicorns-and-rainbows myth of "engaging in the conversation" started by looking at the relationship between the number of followers a user has and the percentage of their Tweets that are "@" replies. I found that highly followed users are less conversational than those with few followers.

This time, I looked at the relationship between follower count and the percentage of a user's tweets that contain links and are not replies. Using a sample of random, recently active Twitter accounts, I found a strong correlation. As the amount of links a user tweets increases the number of followers they have also increases. And users with more than 1,000 followers tend to tweet many more links than users with fewer than 1,000 followers.

The data is starting to mount to suggest that "engaging in the conversation" is a waste of time from a marketing and reach-building perspective, especially when compared to sharing content.

Was J.C. Penney’s #TweetingWithMittens Super Bowl stunt a good idea?

Posted: 12 Apr 2014 10:41 PM PDT

James Todman

J. C. Penney

One of the most talked about moments from Super Bowl 2014 had nothing to do with American football.

The department store J.C. Penney sent out a number of odd tweets during the first half that had many people questioning the sobriety of their social media team. Others thought their Twitter account must have been hacked:

The tweets were actually part of a carefully planned stunt leading up to this one, promoting the fact that the department store sells mittens:

Was this inspired tweeting or a joke gone bad for J.C. Penney? Looks like it could be the latter for the department store as their ‘drunk’ tweets attracted 19,000+ and 22,500+ retweets respectively but their explanation tweet only received 3700+ retweets.

Headlines like this in USA Today can’t have helped either, “J.C. Penney is having a worse first half than the Denver Broncos“.

Other brands however rather enjoyed J.C. Penney’s uncomfortable #TweetingWithMittens moment:

Even rival department store Macy’s got in on the act by replying to a fan’s tweet accusing them of hacking:

So was this ultimately a success for J.C. Penney’s? Not sure – I’ll let you decide that. It rivalled the now famous Oreo’s “you can still dunk in the dark” tweet of 2013 in terms of exposure, but without the same admiration shown by the press and social media commentators.

All that said, it did liven up a rather one-sided football game for fans tweeting at the time.

#Howto Use ManageFlitter’s Hidden Gem to Bulk #Follow People on Twitter

Posted: 12 Apr 2014 10:08 PM PDT

Quinny Robbins

If you want to get more Twitter followers, there are certain things that you have to do to make others want to follow you.

Step 6 of the free guide to getting thousands of followers tells you that you need to start following people who are going to be interested in your tweets.

I showed you how you can do that manually using Twitter.com in this video.

However, there are a couple of problems with using Twitter.com when you use it to follow a large number of people.  If you follow a few hundred people a day:

  • You have to count manually how many people you followed.  If you don't count and you follow too many, Twitter will think that you are aggressively following others and will suspend your account.
  • It takes time out of your schedule to do this everyday or every other day.
  • If you don't use Twitter.com and you use automated tools that bulk follow people (like Tweetadder), then you're in violation of Twitter's rules.

But what if I told you that there was a totally legit way for you to follow 100 people at a time in less than 10 seconds?

Hello ManageFlitter, I love you

I've been on Twitter for a few years now and I've tried a TON of different tools to help manage my network.  By far, ManageFlitter is one of my favorite tools and I depend on it daily.

When it comes to bulk or mass following others on Twitter, there's a hidden gem on ManageFlitter that's often missed by a lot of people.  That's why I created this video that's at the top of this blog post.

More awesome ManageFlitter perks

ManageFlitter is more than just a great tool to help you follow a lot of people on Twitter.  With it you can also:

  • Turn your tweet into a Power Post by allowing ManageFlitter to send your tweets when a majority of your followers are online
  • Gives you great insights to see how successful your tweets are through analytics
  • Unfollow those who aren't following you back, fake accounts (spammers), inactive accounts and much more
  • Use powerful search functionality to find relevant people who you should be following
  • Ninja mode helps you combine powerful searches to find highly targeted Twitter users in your niche

What you can expect to pay for ManageFlitter

Isabella GuirguisThe adorable reason why I buy diapers

I've tried a number of premium tools to manage Twitter, many of them cost around $30 a month for their service.

After a while, it can get quite expensive especially when you have to pay for diapers like me :-) .

So you'll be pleasantly surprised to find out that ManageFlitter costs less than half of what other services charge you and it is one of the best tools out there.

ManageFlitter is $12/month.

Now I can manage my Twitter account without being in a rush to get my baby girl potty trained :-) .

Do you need ManageFlitter?

I think that anyone who wants to use Twitter's amazing social network to get more traffic back to their website, get more followers, or who wants to connect with others should use ManageFlitter.

If you're thinking that you don't need to use ManageFlitter to be successful on Twitter, just be sure that you know that it will take you 2-3 times more time for you to mass follow people on Twitter.

If you're not sure why you should be mass following people on Twitter or if you don't know what the advantages are to having thousands of followers, then read this post.

There are no contracts when signing up for a pro account with ManageFlitter, so if you don't think it's insanely awesome after trying it, just cancel your account.

You can also get a free account that will give you the ability to unfollow people only.  But the true power is in the follow features that come with the pro account.

Click on the button below (affiliate link) to be taken to ManageFlitter's website.
